ITEC Special Course on Competition Policy & Law (for African Countries)



About the Programme
“CUTS Institute for Regulation & Competition (CIRC), CUTS International and National Law University, Delhi organized a two-week-long international training program on Competition Policy and Law for African countries from 16th February to 1st March 2015, with support from Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India under the ITEC program. The international training program saw the participation of professionals from competition authorities of thirteen countries: Seychelles, Mauritius, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Morocco, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Botswana, Namibia, Senegal, Tanzania, and Tunisia.

Distinguished experts from the Competition Commission of India, CIRC, CUTS International, NLUD, IICA, and premium law firms shared their experience and knowledge on different aspects of competition law and policy. Pedagogy included lectures, presentations, case studies, group exercises and hypothetical case discussions to make the sessions interesting and interactive. Study tour to CCI and cultural trips to Agra and Jaipur were also organized in between the course. The participant’s feedback clearly indicates that they were benefitted from the training and requested more such training.”
